The Real Problem with Vaping

What’s the difference between a Kwik-E-Mart and a Smoke & Vape? Other than the verity of products offered, really not too much when it comes to the vape, smoke industry. I mean both do sell vapor and smoke related products but do you know much about the products they sell? More importantly do they? Most couldn’t even tell you that a vapor device needs an 18650 battery to operate, neither know much about the THC products other than what the box itself says, and to be honest that’s if they even took the time to read that much! Fact is most of these stores simply grab a few items from a local distributor and put it on their shelves and call themselves vape or smoke shops or dealers! If Walmart started doing outpatient surgeries would you trust it? Why not? You’re literally Trusting your life to a store when you buy a cart or vapor product! I call your attention to the 2018 vape crisis where people were getting the infamous vape lung, we later found out vape lung had absolutely nothing to do with traditional vaping, whether it be nicotine, or THC vaping! It was caused by vaping illegally produced THC carts made in someone’s basement cut with vitamin E oil, a substance that’s harmless to humans unless vaporized and inhaled. Vitamin E oil will burn your lungs and limit their ability to process oxygen! 

Information is key: when it comes to anything you are using, Vape products, THC products, gummies, edibles, etc. find out as much as possible, ask the store what they know, scan the item before purchasing it, read the COA “Certificate of Analysis”, if you don’t understand how to read or understand a COA don’t feel bad many don’t, but again ask the store, if they don’t, leave and go directly to a professional Vape Shop, I guarantee they will, and will be happy to answer all your questions! 

21 or older: When it comes to America’s youth vaping the argument has been made that vaping is safer than smoking, and as a parent I’d much rather see my child vape vs smoke, while I understand the point the fact remains that it’s simply an irrelevant argument as the law states you must be 21 years or older to purchase vapor products! Fact is America's vape stores are NOT the problem, they are mostly small businesses who don’t want to be fined, and card everyone! The vape & smoke Kwik-E-Marts on the other hand, sell, sell, sell, sorry folks, facts are facts!

According to CNBC The FDA to consider limiting e-cigarette sales to vape shops to curb youth use.

It’s been widely reported that convenience stores are far more likely to sell vape products such as the Juul to minors. Some lawmakers have even argued that the Juul goes so far as to deliberately market their products to under age youths, while Vape shops are more likely to check ID! It’s harder to regulate the industry if all rules don’t apply to curtain retailers! 

When any manufacturer, retailer, or supplier knowing markets to customers they know are prohibited from purchasing said products, it give the entire industry a bad name! Vape shops  by and large all strive to uphold both FDA and industry standards, so when any company knowingly circumvents these standards nobody should be surprised when vape shops refuse to sock said products!

Q: How do I know if my e-liquid has been tampered with?

A: Premium e-liquid manufacturers include tamper evident indicators on every product. A broken or altered seal may indicate that the final product has been contaminated.

Q: What do I do if I discover someone has tampered with my e-liquid?

A: First, refuse the product. Inform the store attendant that you wish to have the bottle replaced with one that has the tamper evident indicators intact.

Q: When should I report tampering and to whom?

A: Tampering with e-liquid should always be reported in a progressive hierarchy. If you suspect that a store attendant has altered a product intentionally, please inform store management or the owner. If you suspect that store management or ownership allows for alteration of final product, please contact e-liquid manufacturer customer service and inform them of your suspicions. Premium e-liquid manufactures value customer safety above all and will address the concerns as they see fit.

I can’t afford to switch!

We’ve all heard the smoker’s excuses. 

• CLAIM: Vaping is expensive! 

• CLAIM: I can’t afford to switch!

So, we decided to break it down for you. The charts blow show a much better breakdown than we could, however we wanted to explain where we got our data, and point out that the costs may very based on your location. For instance, NYC the cost for smokers is double the national average, and Pennsylvania taxes vaping at the same rate as cigarettes. 

• CLAIM: Vaping is just as bad if not worse than smoking: 

That claim in itself is ridiculous! Think about it for a second: Cigarettes contain OVER 7,000 chemicals, while Vaping contains 4… Does it sound logical?   

All E-juices, commonly referred as E-liquid or Vape juice contains four main ingredients:

1. Propylene Glycol (PG) - an ingredient found in medicinal products, foods, and cosmetics

3. Flavoring Concentrates - Natural extracts and artificial flavoring commonly used in food products

• FACT: Smokers STINK; I’m not being mean, I smoked for nearly 30 years, and ya I knew there was a smell, but never realized how nauseating it was until I quit and walked by someone who just came in from outside after having a cigarette…. MY GOD, do you STINK!

• FACT: Vapers smell Yummy, there’s a reason for this meme!

If you don’t want to make the switch because you like smoking, have no regard for you health, simply don’t care how bad you smell, and feel its your right, hey I can respect that, but STOP making STUPID excuses!

FDA Takes Action Against Anyone Selling Vape Products Resemble Children’s Candies, and Cookies

One has to wonder why, why would any company, manufacture products that are by all means, fully intended for consumers over the legal age of 18, that are designed to resemble candy, or other products intended for children?

The answers to these questions are really quite simple. SALES/PROFITS…

Certain unscrupulous manufacturers simply don’t care about anything other than making a quick buck, and if or when someone gets hurt, they can quickly snatch up their quick bucks, declare bankruptcy and be gone, before The FDA, Courts, Lawyers or anyone can hold them accountable.

Problem is: The Vaping Industry is left reeling from the fallout.

The Vaping Industry as a whole is a reputable industry, made up mostly by manufacturers/retailers; whom themselves are former smokers, who have dedicated their lives, their business to helping people kick the habit, for a cheaper, cleaner, tastier, healthier alternative.

TRUE STORE, if people didn’t buy a product, manufactures wouldn’t produce it, FACT, but if you’re in the business and plan to remain in the business you should be asking yourself this question, do I wasn’t to be associated with this type of product?
